Hydrosilylation of alkenes over multimetallic catalysts
Activity and selectivity of bimetallic catalysts Pt-Cu, Pt-Ru and Pt-Re as well as trimetallic catalyst Pt-Ru-Cu were studied in the reactions of trichlorosilane addition to allyl chloride and 1-octene. The above metals were supported on active carbon, carbon black and alumina (the latter was prepared by sot-gel method). The introduction of the second metal, particularly copper, considerably increased activity for hydrosilylation reactions compared to that observed in the presence of monometallic platinum catalyst. The performance of carbon-based supports was better than that of alumina.
