Effects of crude oil type, methods for bitumen production, temperature, load time and colloidal structure of bitumens on their rheolog. properties were discussed. Importance of ductility for determination of the rheological properties of paving bitumens (cohesion, strain value, tensile strength, deformation energy) were presented. Legal regulations and modem techniques of ductility measurement were reviewed.
