Using the oxidative precipitation method to preparation of FeFe2O4 and NiFe2O4 ferrites from waste iron(II) sulfate
Waste FeSO4 from manufg. TiO2 was air oxidized (air flow intensity 40-80 L/h) in aq. soln. at 60 degrees C and 80 degrees C to Fe(III) and Ni(II) ferrites sepd. by filtration after simultaneous pptn. The reaction rate constant for the 1(st) order reaction was detd. The ferrite were calcinated at 200 to NOT. Structure of the ferrites was confirmed by X-ray diffractometry.
