Catalytic combustion of ethyl acetate in air over metal oxide catalysts
Sixteen prepd. and corn. (mostly oxide) catalysts were tested for catalytic activity in afterburning of AcOEt to CO(2) and H(2)O in air in a flow tubular reactor. The highest combustion efficiency was obsd. when the corn. HA-100 and HA-50 catalysts as well as the prepd. V(2)O(5)(8%)/TiO(2) catalyst were used. The degree of combustion 0.9 was then achieved at 170 degrees C, 190 degrees C and 210 degrees C, resp.
