Extraction of phenols in the aqueous biphasic systems
4-RC6H4OH (I) (R = H, NO2, Me, Cl, F, MeO) were extd. from aq. solns. (concn. 0.01-0.05 g/L) in biphasic systems contg. Me(CH2)(11) (Me2ND)-D-circle plus,L-MeCH(OH)COO circle minus ionic liq. and K3PO4, NaCl or ethoxylated Me dodecanate at ambient temp. The extn. efficiency increased with the increasing I concn. The highest extn. efficiency was achieved for I (R = NO3) (97.1-98.2%), the lowest for I (R = H) (87.5-92.5%).
