mixts. of butadiene-styrene, butadiene-acrylonitrile and natural rubber were filled with Al(OH)(3), chloroparaffin, Sb2O3, melamine phosphate, polyphosphate and cyanurate, and Zn borate or with ionic liqs., vulcanized and studied for inflammability and thermal stability. The ionic liqs. were less efficient than the conventional fire retardants.
