Study on chemical and physical surface structure of natural sorbents used for removing Pb2+ and Cd2+ ions from mono- and bicomponent aqueous solutions
Sunflower hulls, walnut shells and plum stones were studied for their surface morphology, chem. structure and elementary compn. and then used for sorption of Pb2+ and Cd2+ from their aq. solns. The sorption mechanism was discussed.
