Computer Modeling for the Potentiometric Titration Curve of Carboxylic cation Exchanger
In this work, we obtained an equation that the particular parameters of ion exchanger has an effect on potentiometric titration curve. The experimental data of ion exchanger describes well potentiometric titration curves. therefore thhese equation can be used for computer simulation of the titration process under different conditions. This can be applied to observe the effect of different factors on the position and shape of the potentiometric titration curves. These factor were as follows : equilibrium constant (pK), difference of the equilibrium constant at complete and zeroth neutralization of the ion exchanger (pK), solution volume(V), concentration of supporting electrolyte(C), counterion charge(z). We can formulate conditions favoring appearance of sharp inflection on the potentiometric titration curves resulting from the combination of factors. These formulated condition appeared sharp inflection on the potentiometric titration curves as pK, pK and V decreasing and z and C increasing.
