Development of Easy, Harmless, and Energy-saving Water Cleanup Method Based on Self-flotation of Hollow Glass Beads Coated with Fatty Acids
We report a low energy consumption, easy, and harmless water cleanup method by self-flotation of fatty acid-coated hollow glass beads. Fatty acid-coated hollow glass beads possess fluidity as like fatty acid vesicles, extracted hydrophobic chemicals, and attained easy collection of the extracted hydrophobic chemicals. Thus, our developed water cleanup method would enable easy purification of water in large scales and be expected to be applied for water cleanup.
