Fracture stimulation treatment is challenging in laminated and discontinuous reservoirs. Fracture stimulation of bypassed pay zones is constrained by existing wellbore completions and fracture-operation economics. The full-length paper discusses an operational procedure that combines coiled tubing (CT) and fracturing for effective stimulation treatments under these circumstances.
