Four acid-stimulation treatments of seawater-injection wells were studied in detail. Return-fluid analysis provided information about formation-damage mechanisms, optimum flowback time, wellbore corrosion, and treatment effectiveness. Density measurements of matrix-acidizing flowback samples were found to predict optimum flowback time better than pH measurements.
