Dimethoate insecticide was used for controlling leaf miner and beetles Chromatomyia fuscula (Ztt.), Chromatomyia nigra (Ztt.) and Poemyza superciliosa (Ztt.) in winter wheat culture in 2014 and 2015. Use of the pesticides resulted in an increase in the wheat crop from 7.35 t/ha up to 7.51 t/ha in 2014 and from 6.53 t/ha up to 6.66 t/ha in 2015.
