Fly ash and flotation tailings from a waste dump were mixed with Portland cement, suspended in water and tested for fluidity, amt. of supernatant water, setting time, compression strength and soakability. The suspensions met the requirements for mine filling and sealing the old works. They were recommended for practical use.
