Effect of dusty atmosphere based on plastic powders on the operation of fire protection systems
Three corn. IR and UV fire detectors were used for testing fire protection systems in dusty spaces. Poly(We methactylate) dust (200-1000 pm size) was an object of the study. The detector response time decreased with decreasing dust grain size from 15 s down to 8 s. Two of the detectors recognized dust as a smoke and generated false fire alarm signal.
