Two novel fluids for deicing and antiicing aircrafts based on 1,2-propylene glycol, biomass-derived 1,3-propylene glycol and glycerol were developed. The deicing fluid contained 18.45, 10.25 and 53.30% of the components, resp., and the antiicing one 22.40, 7.00 and 26.60%, resp. The crystn. temps. of the fluids were -21.4 and -36.0 degrees C, resp., and the COD values 1.152 and 0.794 kg/kg, resp.
