Granulated phosphorus fertilizer made of ash from biomass combustion and bones with addition of Bacillus megaterium in the field assessment. Part 1. Impact on yielding and sanitary condition of winter wheat
A granulated P biofertilizer made from sewage sludge ash and animal bones (enriched with Bacillus megaterium) was compared in field expts. on winter wheat to its equiv. without bacteria and to superphosphate. Three levels of P2O5 were used (40, 60 and 80 kg/ha). Wheat yield, ear d., no. of grains in the ear, the mass of 1000 grains, biomass dynamics, lodging, weed infestation, and intensity of fungal diseases were studied. Both biofertilizer and fertilizer from waste equalled superphosphate in terms of its crop-enhancing efficiency. The highest yield was achieved when the biofertilizer at a P2O5 dose of 60 kg/ha was used. The tested fertilizers did not influence wheat lodging and weed and fungal pathogens infestation.
