Dielectric Analysis is a useful method for monitoring the cure and characterization of polymer networks. In this paper the theoretical and practical fundamentals using an epoxy resin model system are summarised. Measurements include cure monitoring, dielectric relaxation of cured resins and problems of the influence of conductivity. Basic knowledge for investigation and further discussion of dielectric measurements is given. As a model for epoxy resins an imidazole-accelerated epoxy/phenol-system was used.
