The quality of the part and productivity in injection moulding are critically determined by the constancy of temperature in the hot-runner system. Rapid signal processing with precise setting of control variables are achieved by a PID2 controller with phase-angle control. The PC-aided version of this controller additionally permits thermodynamic analysis of the mould.
