Most of the mixers presented at large plastics trade fairs are based either on single and twin screw extruders or heating/cooling mixing systems. These are the most important mixers for compounding and processing plastics. Many well-known mixer principles for preparing polymers, master-batches, pigments, pastes, etc. appeared in a modified design.
