Reality is subject to natural laws. A mathematical model of these laws can generate realistic process simulation. Simulation programs evolve over a long period, and their bearing on reality always has to be confirmed in practical experiments. And this is the advantage of simulations: there is no need to copy reality to discover that mistakes have been made.
