CONVERSION OF BUTANES IN THE PRESENCE OF CARBON-DIOXIDE
A study has been made of thermal conversions of n- and iso-butanes in the presence of carbon dioxide. It has been established that, without a catalyst, CO2 does not take part in these processes. it is suggested that, in catalytic conversions of hydrocarbons, CO2 can reoxidize the surface.
