There have been determined basic surfactant properties of synthesized polydispersive oxyalkylene (oxyethylene and oxypropylene) derivatives of technical (1-phenylethyl)-m-cresol (Atlen-SK), which is primarily composed of 1-hydroxy-2,4-di(alpha-methylbenzyl)-5-methylbenzene. These derivatives are weaker wetting and surface tension depressing agents, but much stronger emulsifiers if compared to commercial oxyalkylene derivatives of technical nonylophenol (Rokafenols).
