Some poly(carboxylic peracids) and their sodium salts have been synthesized. Their ability to complex Ca2+ ions as well as coefficients of bactericide activity and stability have been determined. Among synthesized compounds, poly(maleic peracid) and its sodium salt had shown best complexing and disinfecting properties.
