The T-I fractions were obtained from high and low temperature coal tars in an extraction process. Five T-I fractions are investigated by fractionation (tetrahydrofurane, N,N-dimethylaniline and quinoline). Such subfractions were characterized by conventional method. The effect of T-I composition upon stability of tar-water emulsions was also studied.
