The influence of glucose and yeast on ethanol extraction from aqueous solutions
The influence of glucose and yeast on both the extraction equilibria and kinetic parameters of ethanol extraction form aqueous solutions by using 30% weight toluene solutions of TBP was determined in a series of experiments. Glucose and yeast were found to influence negatively the extractant selectivity and extraction kinetics in a reciprocating plate column.
