Tests of biocompatibility of selected solvents have been carried out to choose of the best extractant for ethanol fermentation process in the presence of an organic liquid. It was noticed that DMH as well as isooctane are good solvents for decreasing inhibitory effect during fermentation. Continuous ethanol fermentation process coupled with extraction by DMH has been chosen for the ethanol production.
