EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF COUPLED ROTOR BLADES BY TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION THE WHEEL DISC ELASTICITY
The vibration-technically secure lay-out of rotor blades is one of the important prerequisites for a troublefree operation of turbo-engines. If detached rotor blades cannot be controlled from the vibration-technical point-of-view, they will be connected with each other by suitable coupling elements via the rotor disc circumference. Such all around coupled blade connections distinguish themselves very decisively from the detached rotor blade with regard to the modal parameters. There can occur, however, at the points of coupling-either constructively wanted or because of constantly existing tolerances-individual blade couplings, which in contrast to all around coupled blade connection, in turn, show a different vibration behaviour. Special attention has to be directed in this case to the coupled rotor blades on relatively elastic wheel discs, as these can possibly show higher resonance stresses than detached rotor blades.
