For some years, cost reductions and the saving of fuel in the practical operation of energy plants have also been reached through the application of energy-management systems (EMSs). The amortization of these systems is possible within a few months, and as a consequence of this, the application is of interest to many communal and industrial energy suppliers. In the following, experiences with some completed EMS-projects are notified and instructions for future users are given.
