The conventional planning of new power station projects takes many months and ties down a considerable amount of personnel. The start of construction is only possible after completion of the preplanning phase. Seas to speed up the supply of power from the new plant, and thus also shorter pay-back periods and a reduced final expenditure, ABB has developed a "modular reference steam power station".
