Upset but still satisfied - VNG rise in sales did not produce the expected profit
Once again, in the second trading year since privatization, the Verbundnetz Gas (VNG) AG, Leipzig, was in the black. Even so, despite an increased turnover of around 14 per cent,VNG was unable to achieve the planned 50-DM-mill.-profit in the 1997 trading year. Nevertheless, in view of the opening market for gas, the company sees itself in a good initial situation.
