Regarding statistical information about energy, development of the energy demand and current energy balances, a separate analysis is more and more required, when focusing on guidelines for energy conservation or effective contributions towards climate protection. Finally it is of interest whether and to which extent a more rational handling of energy can be acknowledged and quantified. The influence of technical and economical aspects, administrative restraints as well as consumer and user behaviour should also be taken into account.
