The full-length paper describes a floating production, drilling, storage, and offloading (FPDSO) unit equipped with a near-surface disconnectable drilling riser. Drilling operations take place through a dedicated moonpool next to the turret area allowing total separation of drilling and station-keeping functions. The small diameter turret uses a taut-leg mooring system and includes a swivel for fluid transfer.
