Binary Diffusitivities of Liquid-Mixtures of Methyl Myristate and Methyl Palmitate at Ambient-Pressure
Binary diffusion coefficients in mixtures of methyl myristate (tetradecanoic acid methyl ester) and methyl palmitate (hexadecanoic acid methyl ester) have been measured in a diaphragm cell at ambient pressure and 40, 50 and 60-degrees-C. Mole fractions of methyl myristate were varied between 0 and 1. The diffusivities rise slightly with methyl myristate concentration and increase significantly with temperature from about 3 x 10(-10) m2/s at 40-degrees-C to more than 6 x 10(-10) m2/s at 60-degrees-C. Numerical values are given in full detail.
