Natural Pulping(R) - Environmental friendly and alternative process for manufacturing pulp (paper) using raw materials with a fast secondary growth rate
The study is dedicated to the problems of pulp and paper production. Everyone is aware of forest clearance, air and water pollution, and the danger to health caused by the carcinogenic by-products created by pulp production and bleaching. In addition a short introduction to the problematic issues surrounding this topic and aims and objectives of this study, alternative raw materials will also be described. The use of straw (wood is possible too) for pulp production is demonstrated as a proven example for a number of raw materials. The study shows how it is possible to produce pulp from straw and other annual plants, including wood, and how to bleach it. Yet the most essential fundamental idea has not been neglected: The process must be environmentals friendly and economical. All reagents (formic acid, hydrogen peroxide) are introduced into a lifecycle; their behaviour in nature is completely neutral.
