Pressure-induced faceting in an NH4Cl crystal
We report facet formation in the equilibrium shape of an NH4Cl crystal coexisting with tin aqueous solution under high pressure. The pressure dependence of the crystal shape was studied by in situ observation with a diamond anvil cell at pressures between 0.15 and 1.09GPa at a fixed temperature of 25 degrees C.
