Poly(styrene-co-vinylphenol)과 Poly(butylene adipate)의 상용성
Miscibility of Poly(styrene-co-vinylphenol) with Poly(butylene adipate)
초록
Poly(butylene adipate) (PBA)와 Poly(styrene-co-vlnylphenol) (STVPh)의 상용 거동을 조사하였다. PBA는 STVPh 중 vinylphenol(VPh)의 함량이 l2wt% 이상인 경우 STVPh와 전 조성에서 상용성을 가졌다. STVPh중 VPh의 함량이 10 혹은 l2wt%인 경우 PBA/STVPh 블렌드는 일부 조성에서 lower critical solution temperature를 가졌다. 두 구성 고분자 간의 수소결합과 같은 강한 강호 작용 뿐 아니라 STVPh분자의 자체회합(self-association)의 해리에 의한 엔트로피의 증가도 PBA와 STVPh의 상용성의 중요 원인으로 생각되었다. 녹음과 결정화 거동으로부터 STVPh중 VPh의 함량이 증가할수록 두 고분자간의 상호 작용 정도가 증가함을 알 수 있었다.
The miscibility of poly(butylene adipate)(PBA) with poly(styrene-covinylphenol)(STVPh) was studied. PBA was miscible with STVPh when the vinylphenol(VPh) content in STVPh was more than l2wt%. When the VPh content in STVPh was 10 or l2wt%, PBA/STVPh blends had lower critical solution temperature(LCST) at some compositions. The entropy increases largely by blending because the dissociation of hydrogen bond between STVPh molecules enlarges the number of possible conformation. This entropy increase as well as the strong intermolecular interactions such as hydrogen bond between PBA and STVPh molecules seems an important driving force for the miscibility. The melting and crystallization behaviors showed the intermolecular interaction between PBA and STVPh molecules increased as the VPh content in STVPh was increased.
