SYNTHESIS OF POLYARYLETHER SULFONE BY NITRO DISPLACEMENT POLYMERIZATION
Polyarylether sulphone has been synthesized by the sulphone activated nitrodisplacement polymerization from dinitriodiphenyl sulphone and bisphenol A dianion prepared by various methods. The use of pressure increases the rate of polymerization and the molecular weight of the polymer. The MBAR(n) of the polymer has been computed from the PMR analysis. The polymers obtained have low inherent viscosities ans are amorphous and soluble in polar solvents.
