Monothioether complexes of osmium : The trans[OsBr4(SR2)(2)] family and mer-[OsBr3(SR2)(3)] precursors
The first family of trans-[(OsBr4)-Br-IV(SR2)(2)] complexes incorporating monothioethers has been synthesized by oxidative bromination of mer-[(OsBr3)-Br-III(SR2)(3)]; bond length and reduction potential trends are scrutinized.
