Reduction of water consumption in wet dust collectors .2. Critical recirculation factor in wet dust collectors
The method of establishing of maximum recirculation factor for the liquid in wet dust collectors has been worked out. The method is based on the measurements of dust content in the slurry. A critical concentration of dust is defined as the one at which the slurry changes its rheological properties from the Newtonian to non-Newtonian ones. This value of the concentration should not be exceeded if the constant collection efficiency is to be maintained. Basing on the critical dust concentration the maximum recirculation factor may be established for wet dust collectors.
