Mechanism of continuous phase recirculation in two-phase systems
Physical model of continuous phase flow between curtains consisted of dispersed phase elements was formulated. The region between the apparatus wall and the curtain closest to it was also considered. It was found that the average continuous phase velocity in near-wall region can be different than that between the curtains. There is discussed the solution in the case when the assumptions are ignored.
