The sweating process is presented both on the basis of experiments and literature data. The effect of time, the linear crystal growth rate and the dissolution rate-on the efficiency of wet sweating process in the naphthalene-thianaphthene system are described. The investigations were carried out in conditions close to the real conditions which occur during the purification of organic crystals.
