Exploring metal-organic frameworks in electrochemistry by a bibliometric analysis

Considering the great significance of metal organic framework (MOF) in the field of electrochemistry and the knowledge gap in its development trend and research direction, this study collects 2,353 related publications indexed by Web of Science Core Collection published in the past 20 years. The analysis and mapping results reveal key information such as time series, countries/region, institutions, publication sources and citations. Furthermore, this study identifies the development trend and research hotspot of MOF, including nine valuable topics such as hydrogen storage, battery/capacitor materials, electrocatalysis and MOF composite energy storage. The findings and suggestions of this study can provide helpful reference and guidance for understanding the application and prospect of MOF in electrochemistry.
