Characteristics of F-doped SnO2 Films Synthesized by Spray Pyrolysis Technique

Fluorine-doped tin oxide films(SnO2 : F, FTO) were synthesized by a spray pyrolysis technique on flat borosilicate glass substrates with different spraying solutions and dopant agents under the same spraying conditions. The characteristic properties of the coatings were investigated with respect to their electrical conductivity, optical transparency in the visible range, and IR reflectivity. The spray pyrolyzed FTO coatings had a resistivity ρ = 5 X 10(-4) Ωcm for film thicknesses >350 nm and high transmittance for film thicknesses < 500 nm.
