Helical Antiferromagnetic Copper(II) Chains with a Collagen Structural Motif
An infinite helical chain of [Cu-II(diethylenetrithiodiacetate)](n)(H2O)(n) has been synthesized with a topology analogous to that of collagen fibers. The copper(II) centers are antiferromagnetically coupled with -J = 5.4 cm(-1).
